Hello, I am Rosalie Mélin, a French artist and designer born in Paris.
Spending most of my life in the capital of France, surrounded by music, art, books, travel, and photography, deeply influenced my perspective, allowing me to see design as a way to translate experiences into tangible forms. It nurtured my curiosity and sharpened my ability to find beauty in the mundane.
After graduating from Atelier Prep’art in Paris in 2022, I am now in my third year at the Design Academy of Eindhoven where each project is a search for the best way to interpret life and its essence. The common thread across all my work is the story each piece carries. This fascination with storytelling through objects and materials is at the core of my practice. Each piece I create is simultaneously an extension from the past, as well as a preview of the future where I am going.
If my designs resonates with even one person, creating inspiration or emotion, then I consider having succeeded in my work.
