WOOD YOU ?
I wanted to design a furniture piece to offer an experience where you can explore your creativity and desires by being able to use the piece in many ways as you like.
All faces can be used and the mobility makes it easy to just switch from one face to the other. It can be a table, a bench, a shelf, a hut, or whatever you want to make of it.
The furniture piece is meant to explore a new sensory aspect, inviting you to touch, smell and physically interact with it. It is not just meant to be used but to challenge the typical relationship we have with furniture.
I am using recycled wood and I burn it to give a sense of transformation and renewal. It shows a resilience in the matter, how the material changes and endure and emphasize the ongoing nature of wood, connecting past and future.
